ここに来てから、かなり上の世代の人と話をさせてもらうことも多い。
そこで何人かの人が口を揃えていたのが、
「戦前の空気と良く似ている」とのこと。

僕にはもちろんその空気などわかるはずもないけれど、
昨年のインフルエンザにしても、
最近ではスノーボードの選手に対するバッシングにしても、
国全体が右から左へと、どどーっとヒステリックに、
「反応」という低レベルで流れてしまう、
このことを「戦前の空気」と言っているのではないかと思った。

ムラが今日病院でその報道を見た。
番組はその枠を埋めるために、
その例の「ズリ下げパンツ」の短い映像を、
何十回も繰り返していたよと笑っていた。

果たして狂っているのはどちらのほうだろうか？
